Movement, Brazil's leading gym equipment brand, needed a full platform redesign to compete globally. The brief called for a new design language that felt premium, reduced acoustic noise during operation, and could scale across their entire product catalog, from treadmills to strength equipment.
The result was a cohesive platform language that earned the Gold Brazilian IDEA Award and secured Movement's place as the official gym equipment supplier for the Rio 2016 Olympic Games.

01 · Discover
Gym User Research & Competitive Analysis
Conducted research across Brazilian gyms observing real user behavior, ergonomic patterns, and maintenance workflows. Mapped the gap between Movement's current product range and international premium brands.
02 · Define
Platform Design Language
Defined a scalable design language that could unify 12+ SKUs, including shared CMF system, structural grammar, and interaction patterns. Key design principle: the equipment should feel silent before it even starts, communicating quality through visual restraint.
03 · Develop
Acoustic & Structural Engineering
Collaborated with Movement's mechanical engineering team to address acoustic noise, a key user complaint in the brief. Redesigned structural panels and motor housing to reduce vibration transfer without increasing cost.
04 · Launch
Olympic Games Selection
The redesigned platform was selected by the Rio 2016 Olympic organizing committee as the official gym equipment for athlete training facilities, a validation of both design quality and engineering reliability at the highest level.
